A Syrian Hamster's chin wound will not close for past 4 weeks. Why? Pt 2/4
A non-healing wound for the past 4 weeks. The cause is likely a foreign body stuck inside the wound, preventing closure. Anaesthesia is needed to check on this.
Later videos will show a bone fragment lodged deep inside the wound, preventing non-healing or closure of the wound for the past 4 weeks.
Anaesthesia revealed a bone fragment stuck inside the wound, preventing it from closing. Bone could be from left lower jaw bone breaking up due to front tooth root infections, as in the rabbit's dental problems. A rare occurrence in hamsters.
